Fidelity Testing

In the past several years, television shows and daytime interview shows have begun using polygraph to verify or refute the claims of their guests. Many of these shows border on the ridiculous. Some of them use improperly trained, unscrupulous "polygraph examiners" to test individuals on outlandish issues such as their sexual preference, their sexual identity, and on one occasion even if their "breasts were real." The staff at Bendiksen & Ball is repulsed by this sensational use of the polygraph by unscrupulous "examiners" and television producers and will not be party to it.

However, we recognize that there are times when a marital or close personal relationship can be jeopardized by a person's fear or anxiety about their partner's fidelity. In these cases, we can and do administer professional polygraph examinations to resolve personal fidelity issues. These services are provided confidentially to private individuals.  Call us and discuss your situation in complete privacy. We are here to help you........

Unlike what you have seen on the television, a polygraph test has a highly structured format. You are limited to three (3) questions or issues in one test. This is not our limitation, it is the limitation of a properly formatted polygraph test.

In addition, there are some ethical limitations on what we can ask on a polygraph test. To avoid making a trip to our offices and finding out that the issues you have selected are inappropriate for polygraph testing, we suggest that you call us at (425) 775-9015 or send us an email containing the three issues you want the polygraph test to resolve. Please don’t try to create a “polygraph question.” Just identify for us what it is you are trying to resolve. We will either approve your issues in person on the phone or construct the actual polygraph questions and mail them back to you before your appointment for review . If necessary, we will identify which issues, if any, are inappropriate for valid testing. This will give you an opportunity to select other issues.

Once the questions have been approved, we can make an appointment. Due to approximately a 70% no show rate on fidelity exams, you will be asked to make a $50 non-refundable fee at the time the appointment is scheduled. This payment can be made by credit card. This non-refundable retainer fee will be confiscated if you make an appointment and do not keep it. If you do come to your scheduled appointment, this non-refundable retainer fee will be applied against the total fee for your polygraph.

The examination is scheduled for approximately two hours. The examiner will meet first with the complaining partner to review the questions on the examination. Once the polygraph questions have been reviewed and approved by the complaining partner, they will be asked to wait in our waiting room while their partner takes the polygraph test. At the end of the test, both parties are given the results before they leave the office. At your request, a formal written report can be prepared and sent out the next business day.

Our fee for fidelity testing is $400. We accept cash, cashier's checks, money orders, VISA, Mastercard, and debit cards. There is a 4% fee for using a debit/credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Call us to schedule an appointment today!
